V.K Raman: South Indian Bamboo Flute

V.K. RAMAN, one of the leading Flautists in the Carnatic style of Music, started learning Flute at the age of 9 and at the age of 15, he started giving full-fledged concerts. Since then Raman has performed in many prestigious organizations in India and abroad. As a performer, Composer, producer, educator, he has performed in all genres of music and has been very successful as a Music Composer. He has scored music for many Audio/Video Albums CD’s and has released 35 CDs through various labels worldwide. Raman has captivated the audiences in major music festivals and has been featured in many prestigious venues like the Lincoln Center, Royal Festival Hall, UW World Series, and Lied for performing Arts, The Rialto performing Art Center, Washington Performing Arts Society, and The Flynn Center.

Raman has toured widely in USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland, Sri Lanka and Japan.

Rajesh had his initial training from his father at the early age of 5 & then lessons from the sir H.K. Narasimhamurthy of Mysore. Rajesh was blessed with the opportunity to learn from the violin maestro Sangeetha Kalanidhi M. Chandrashekaran. He is a graded violinist of All India Radio has passed the Vidwath Exam in first class. Rajesh has accompanied many leading dancers & musicians like Madurai T.N Seshagopalan, Kadri Gopalnath & have toured widely.

Venkat Subramanian: Mridangam

Venkat had his training from Kalaimamani the Mridangam maestro Tiruvarur Bhakthavatsalam. He received the Best mridangist award from the Madras Music Academy & Krishna Gana Sabha & also in 2007, had the distinction of recieving the best mridhangist from VDS Arts Academy. Venkat, graded artiste of AIR is also well versed in Tabla has accompanied all leading dancers & musicians. Venkat has toured in the US, UK, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, & Mauritius.

We also offer Educational activities, Interactive Residencies, Workshops, and Lecture Demonstrations on South/North Indian Classical music during the same time frame. Lectures can be done as prelude to the shows.
