Raman had his initial training with Vidwan Mysore A.V Prakash,
who hails from a musical family. After several years of intense training
Raman yearned to learn from the great flute maestro Dr Ramani. When Raman met
Dr Ramani, he played Pakkala Nilabadi in Ragam Karaharapriya and Dr Ramani
was pleased to take him as his disciple as Raman's fingering and style of playing
matched his style.
