V. K. Raman, one of the leading young flautists in the
Carnatic style of music, began his music training at a very young age and
started giving concerts at the age of 15. He has performed at many prestigious
organizations in India and abroad, including several flute duets with his
teacher, the great flute maestro Dr. N. Ramani. In addition to earning accolades
for his music in India, Raman has toured widely for his performances in the USA,
Canada, Britain, Belgium, France, Germany, Srilanka and Japan.
A creative and
innovative composer, Raman has 35 CD?s to his credit. He has also performed in
fusion concerts and has worked with world class musicians such as Glen Velez
(Grammy Winner),
Dr. L. Subrmaniam, Louis Banks, Charlie Mariano and Jamey
Haddod.
